The Dums

Music software involving about 50 musicians who play instruments in different ensembles.Uses animation to show how the musicians play their instruments. Detailed information is given about each instrument.

The ensembles can be conducted to show how musical textures are created using different instruments, pitches and rhythms. The Dums is an exciting program which combines ESP’s interest in composition, traditional instruments and making music in the home and classroom.

The Dums uses live recordings of the instruments and new compositions which have been commissioned especially for the software.
