Speaking Frames

The speaking frames provide opportunities to structure oral responses to the non-fiction text types of:

Recount
Recount a visit
Non-chronological report
Explanation
Instruction
Persuasion
Argument
Discussion/Debate

Each of the frames consists of a series of cards that provide 'sentence starters' for children to structure an oral presentation in a particular text type. The cards are grouped as 'starters' followed by a number of paragraphs and finally a conclusion. 60 cards per genre (480 in total), size 15 x 6cm each. KS2.
