Games, activities and CD resources to support Scally s World of Verbs.

Teachers Cheryl Dobbs and Pat Minton immediately recognised that the open-ended nature of our Scally’s World of VERBS pack is only limited by imagination. They were inspired to combine their own Scally games and activities into a collection that would inspire others and we loved the outcome. Here is a 74-page book (with resources CD) that offers ideas and detailed discussion on using Scally to stimulate an interest in verbs and to motivate children to practise reading and spelling.

Presented as a teaching resources with photocopiable games and activities, the book covers Reception through to Year 2 classrooms. 13 games include: Bingo, Ferris Wheel, Scally s Spaceship and Dominoes, while 19 activities include: Dot-to-Dot, Writing, Rhyming Words, Meanings, What Next?, Sounds in Words and Comprehension.

The CD holds pictures and templates for making the games. Specially developed software - including a sampler version of textThing (see pg) which uses a chapter from the Scally s Adventure on Earth storybook - completes this essential, value-for-money pack.
