Children learning games. 'Gentle Horsemanship for Young Riders' is an e-learning horsemanship CDROM for children from eight to thirteen years of age. It's fun, easy to understand, beautifully illustrated and full of ways to work gently with your pony. Learn the art of gentle horsemanship including understanding your horse's language and behaviour, trust, respect, how horses think, staying safe, handling, groundwork, management, creating a happy and beautiful ridden pony, and how to become a true gentle horse teacher and rider.

The CD-Rom contains a selection of lessons, quizzes and exercises. The 12 lessons cover various topics including how horses think, behave and communicate, how to become a good teacher, the importance of being gentle with horses, feeding and management, an introduction to groundwork, horse secrets and rules, helping your horse to learn, the things you and your pony need, the most important word, loading, the people in your horses life, and your role in training and working as a safe and happy team with your horse.

The 12 quizzes follow on from the lesson content and bring the student through various options and situations to make to encourage the student to think about things, and how different choices would affect their horse. The exercises section runs through some simple groundwork tasks from catching and to leading, tacking up, grooming and riding gently, and on to ideas for dealing with ponies that buck or gallop away, and other issues.
