EcoLog XL Basic Pack

The EcoLog XL enables you to collect data from sensors in a whole range of science investigations. The data is easily downloaded to a computer where it can be displayed using the EcoLab software provided. Children can use their charts, graphs and even video clips to report on the investigation.

On-screen and printed worksheets are provided with EcoLog XL to enable children to investigate the world of temperature, light, sound and speed. The worksheets help them to explore the use of the basic sensors, as well as developing more advanced experiments such as the effect of the colour of their clothes in the sun.

The EcoLab software displays the logged data in charts, tables and graphs for children to use in data handling and science activities. The screen showing 4 simple display options is ideal for introducing younger children to the idea of measuring physical changes. The software also enables children to video their experiment while they log it, using a simple USB camera. Replaying the video helps them to link the data wit what actually happened.
