The frequent changes in educational policy result in stresses and strains at the teaching resources at the coal face in the classroom. Strangely teachers are rarely consulted before many plans are introduced. Teachers are basically responsible for everything that needs to be done to allow their students to learn. Their instruction is highly scrutinised and held to rigorous standards, but they are not generally treated as instructional specialists.
