The average single lesson length at secondary school is around 40 minutes ( key stages 3 and 4 ). Allow 5 minutes settling down time at the start, 10 minutes dealing with some unruly elements, 5 minutes setting homework at the end and you are left with a core teaching time of 20 minutes. Think how this can be augmented at home through the use of the same teaching resources used in class. Supplementing the 1:30 sharing in class, your child can enjoy a 1:1 interaction with your support at home. Using similar teaching resources used in school you can help them to develop confidence in key stage numeracy, literacy, maths, English, Science in a fun way.
