Children outside the average in a class are often overlooked as teachers concentrate on hitting exam pass targets. This is causing concern to many schools and parents with children who need help. Ironically bright children as well as those less able are being left in the wilderness. The less able would benefit from extra support and many teachers would dearly love to help but find the lesson preparation too onerous.
