Keen2learn Reviews Click Block From BigJigs Toys

Product News / December 11, 2015

Early years learning can be as equally rewarding to the young child as it is to nursery staff and parents. Watching a young child playing with an educational game that gets them to use their imagination and creativity provides immediate feedback and is a delight to watch as their mind develops.

Giving a child some stimulation in a structured game is ideal. We take a look at the Click Block set available exclusively from BigJigs Toys designed for children of 12+ months – and parents. RRP £29.99

It’s great to see an educational game that is wooden. It provides a warmer feel to the child and the rounded edges are much easier on small hands and fingers than the plastic building block versions. The bright colours are very appealing and  the sturdy nature of the wooden and plastic peg construction will last for years. There are 40 pieces of blocks, curves and pillars in the set letting children build small structures and archways that simply push together  teaching the child the dexterity and coordination to assemble the pieces.

The flexibility of the set of blocks allow many different designs to be build to suit developing imagination and  creativity. The firm peg and hole assembly means partially finished projects can be easily stored away ready for the next time. Their strong design allow the blocks to be easily pulled apart and used in the next design. They can also be used with the Click Blocks ‘Basic’ and ‘Primary’ set of blocks that will increase the imagination and range of the assembly.

Click Blocks was an Independent Toy Award winner in 2015 and have passed the appropriate safety tests for children’s toys.

The only criticism keen2learn can find is that as the wooden blocks will last many years the cardboard storage box supplied with the Click Blocks could be more robust, but this would push the price up so parents need to be on the look-out for a plastic storage box.
