Keen2Learn was developed by father and son team Alistair and Stuart Owens. Alistair's background is in marketing with a company specialising in promoting educational products to schools throughout the UK and export markets. Stuart, the technical brains in the operation, picked up a degree in Psychology and spent some time in teaching English and HR/Training in the Far East.

Whilst dealing closely with schools Alistair became very aware of the incredible load on teachers. "They have to be experts in psychology, human behaviour, councillors, dieticians and teachers" Nearly every term a change in Government policy or legislation adds to their workload and a strain on the resource. But there is a hidden army that can reinforce the teaching role.

Keen2Learn was established as a means of mobilising parent's, guardians and grandparents to complement the teaching process at home. By providing the same teaching resource used in schools, parents are able to complement the learning process at a time and pace to suit their child. The range comprises of Educational Toys, Games, Books, Software and Teaching Apparatus normally used in school during the 40 minute school lesson generally in a class of 30+. Now these can be used at home in a fun and enjoyable way to build the child's confidence and lead to greater understanding and achievement at school. The range is continually expanding and covers everything from foundation through SAT's to CGSE in all the key stages of the National Curriculum.

Parents do not have to be teachers to use the products. Most are self explanatory and great fun to use, and teaching notes are supplied where some help may be required.
